Inspired by a vintage Coney Island photograph, this Bohemian Chic nursery is fun and colorful yet serene.
Some of these items aren’t cheap but they’re all very chic! Some of the higher priced items, like the dresser and side table, were included mostly for inspiration. Flea market finds can easily replace these pieces and save you a pretty penny.

I love the look of this nursery! My only question is on the crib bedding.. to go with the other colors in the room should i keep the bedding simple like in the photo, or should i add more colors? Also, the wall color (the brown) have you seen that in a room before… do you think it is the best color for this nursery? Sorry, i need help! I got so many great ideas from this page… but im lost in those areas :-) thanks!

@tammy, I always opt for keeping the bedding simple since by month 6 you’re just left with the crib sheets. As for the paint color, I selected a muted blue which I have seen in person and it is regal! love it!!!

@Nicole,
Thanks for your Fast reply! That makes tons of sense about the crib bedding (would that be the bedding used paired with a golden yellow blanket draped over crib for color pop?) :-) The spot of paint on your collage of photos (is that the wall color?) was wondering because below it said the devine bison… which is a rich brown.. so just wanted to make sure on that, although i do love the blue.(do you think if going with the blue walls that the furniture should still be the same shade of blue or does it matter.? Also curious about curtains, any ideas there as far as a color.. was also thinking of adding a sheer canopy over the crib…. as you can tell.. im lost, and def. not a designer.. :-) I do hope to duplicate this room though and have it turn out great as i dont have much time left. Thanks for all your help and I promise i wont keep bugging you ..lol. -Tammy

@tammy, I’m such a flake! The paint color is Devine Sea Star {blue} not Devine Bison {brown}. Thanks for pointing that out :)
I picked the golden blanket because it reminded me of gold and gypsies. You can save a bundle and add a POP of color at the same time by using solid crib sheets in bold bright colors drawn from the chandelier.
The furniture does not have to be blue, but it can be. You could also go for a washed out green or yellow.
A cool idea for the curtains would be a stripped panel. {drawing some inspiration from those circus tents} It would be nice to find a fabric that looks sort of like a worn circus tent.
And I love the idea of a sheer canopy over the crib. Always wanted one for my daughter’s nursery.
And don’t you DARE stop bugging me. I live for this stuff! And I get kinda sad when nobody leaves comments :)
Thanks so much for your reply! And for all the awesome ideas, I cant wait to get started..im so excited! :)
