Reading to your baby or toddler is an important bonding experience. And before you know it, you’ll have an even bigger selection of baby books than your local library!
Children’s books come in all different shapes and sizes and it’s difficult to find a storage container that can hold them all neatly.
This DIY is the solution to all of your book storage problems.

These fabric book slings make storage easy and can be made with coordinating fabric to match your decor.
Full details can be found at Penny Carnival.

I love this idea, and we plan on stealing – I mean, borrowing – it for our nursery. Instead of wrestling with dowels & curtain hardware, though, we’re going to use the Grundtal towel rack from Ikea: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80047895 – it’s $14.99, so might not be too much more expensive than the dowel/hardware route & I’m hoping it will be a little more childproof… :)

@Nicole,
I did it! I made two of these using the Ikea towel rack (posted about it here: http://homeinthecountry.wordpress.com/2011/06/10/book-slings/). I’m pretty psyched about how they turned out & how sturdy they are!
