This darling little nursery belongs to Zoey. Her mom is a design fanatic and DIY enthusiast, and her dad is handy. With a color palette inspired by fabric, this fun and fresh nursery will make your jaw drop!

Child’s Name: Zoey
Child’s Age: 3 months
Location: Cincinnati, OH
What was your inspiration for the room?
We knew we wanted something fun and modern for our daughter without being super girly. Since nurseries usually have a ton of fabric we knew that would be the place to start. After finally landing on the coral, lime, and light blue fabric collection over at spoonflower everything else just fell into place.

Describe your decorating style.
That’s a question I’ve been trying to answer for as long as I can remember. It varies from space to space, but always clean lined and fairly simple. After being exposed to so many different styles in design school it has been impossible to settle on just one ever since. My home is anything from modern to industrial to rustic.

Favorite items in the room.
Zoey’s wall of framed fabric. Super fun project gathering all of the various frames and we had fallen in love with the fabric from the start.

Any words of advice to share with us?
Have fun with it. Think ahead. They’re only babies for so long. Create a room that allows for some growth.
Focus less on the coordination of different pieces and more on what you really love. The end result won’t fail to make you smile every time you enter the room.

Give us all the details about your room! Don’t forget to share with us any money saving tips you might have learned along the way.

Love this room! We just bought this same crib and are thinking about the IKEA Expedit shelf as well. Do the whites match? We would have them fairly close in the room and I’m afraid it would bug me if they didn’t. The crib is so stark white and the Expedit looks a little creamier in the store.

I saw this post and immediately left the house to buy a galvanized tub and a ton of stuffed animals for my nursery! I also ordered the metal letter from Antrophologie! Thanks for the ideas! Can’t wait to incorporate these things in my nearly finished nursery!

Loving your nursery! Where did you get the changing pad? I just purchased the expedit unit for my son’s nursery but all the changing pads I come across are too wide…Thanks!
