Let the games begin! Gender reveal parties have been a rising trend for the last year or so — because it’s another excuse to celebrate that soon-to-be-here baby, and who doesn’t want that?! Gender reveal parties are lots of fun to plan, and less stressful than baby showers for guests since all they have to do is show up. But the pressure is on for the hostess, and her accomplices, to plan an entertaining party and make the big reveal extra special.
This “Girl vs Boy” themed party looks like it was a blast, so read on for lots more pictures and party details!

The mama-to-be chose a traditional pink and blue color scheme for the party but wanted it to also be fun and competitive — and so the “Girl vs Boy” theme emerged. Guests were encouraged to pick a team and displace their choice proudly by wearing pins and jerseys in their team colors.

Guests were also invited to “name that baby” by leaving name suggestions for the parents-to-be in name tags that were deposited into paper mailboxes.
Pink and blue cake pops and cupcakes decorated the dessert table. The cake pops were used to reveal the gender of the baby. Even though they were covered in pink and blue icing, the cake inside would reveal the gender.

The expectant mama-to-be who planned this gender reveal party is Jessica Wilcox, HWTM Blog Contributor and Editor of Modern Moments Designs. She is expecting her fourth (and last!) child so she wanted to have fun sharing the good news with all of our friends and family! Jessica is already mom to three boys, so you can imagine how excited everyone ones to discover that they will soon be welcoming a little girl.
