The transition from nursery to toddler room happens very quickly. One day you have a little baby and — bam! — that baby starts crawling, walking, climbing and the needs for your kiddo’s space change in an instant.

This transitional toddler room comes to us from Janey, the talented designer behind Piecemaker Studio. Her unique designs —seen above— were the inspiration for the space that her toddler boy calls his own.

Any advice for other moms transitioning their nursery into a toddler room?
The toddler stage is a whole different ball game. Keep only age appropriate toys in the room to avoid clutter. Sometimes they show no interest or forget about a toy, but the trick I use with Marcus is that I rotate the toys around the shelves every so often. It works!
