A sophisticated afternoon soiree to celebrate a mom-to-be! We spotted this delightfully luxurious “Life is a Gift” themed baby shower on Hostess with the Mostess — and there’s nothing we don’t love about it. Using decorative paper in gold and hues of purple, Aisha of Dooby Design Group wrapped boxes and use them as decorative gifts, building the “Life is a Gift” theme. 6th Street Design School is one of my favorite design/lifestyle blogs — I love Kirsten Krason’s style! She put together a Sprinkle Shower for a friend who was having her second child, a girl, going with a “sprinkle” theme.
Kirsten designed the sprinkle invites using PowerPoint. Can you believe it? She also made the ruffle streamers and the dot garland.

We love a good party — especially when the guest of honor is a cute little baby! A Sip ‘N See party is like a meet and greet with baby — basically a baby shower after baby is born. This über chic Summer Sip ‘N See Baby Shower was planned by Sarah Crawford of Lil’ Hoot Parties to celebrate the arrival of her niece June — and boy, isn’t that little girl lucky?!
We’ll start with the garland because we know you’re all dying to know more about it. This stunning garland from Confetti System is definitely pricey — but we’ve started saving right now! You might even try to make one yourself — it could be a fun DIY project. And they would look AMAZING in a girl’s nursery! Just a thought.
Sarah worked with Jayme of Jayme Marie Designs to create a summer-inspired, feminine invite for the event. We love the soft pink color palette with the pineapple and flowers.
Believe it or not, this elegant floral cake is from Whole Foods! Sarah purchased a plain cake and added the fondant flowers for a customized look. The matching cupcakes were made by Sugar On Top, using gold foil liners to bring out the gold in the party garland.
The hostess/proud auntie gifted the new baby a pink wagon, dubbed ‘the welcome wagon,’ which also provided a space for guests to place their presents.

It all started with a cake. At least for me it did anyway. This picture-perfect hot air balloon cake is a vision, crafted to perfection by cake designer Jessica Harris to celebrate the baby shower of her beloved cousin.
Jessica’s talented sister, Kim Harris, was also involved in the party planning designed these unique hot air balloon baby shower invitations. They’re simply amazing!
These molding chocolate monogram pops — decorated with paper clouds — were beautifully displayed on the hot air balloon dessert table, coordinating perfectly with the striped paper straws that were also available for guests.
Hanging hot air balloon decorations flanked the door and hung over the party space. They were handmade by the party planners, using Martha Stewart’s tissue paper lanterns as inspiration for their design — using pages from a book instead of tissue paper, for a more vintage feel.
