Celeb Maternity Style: Busy Philipps

Busy Philipps is one of my favorite actresses. She’s funny, sassy, stylish, and expecting her second child! Can you believe it?

Design Inspirations: Pinterest Monday (1/23/12)

It’s been a while since I’ve shared some Pinterest finds — and since I’ve been spending way too much time on the site (as usual) I though it was about time we brought back our Pinterest Monday feature.

Scroll down to check out some of the things I’ve been pinning recently — and be sure to follow me on Pinterest for more inspirations! And if you don’t have a Pinterest account yet and would like an invite, just leave a comment asking for an invite and we’ll be sure to send you one.

I’m over-the-moon for this DIY chevron fan blades project featured on Design Sponge! Maybe it’s just my chevron obsession — but I think it’s fan-tastic!

I’m suffering from serious chair envy right now. I love everything about this chair — the shape, the studs and the polka dot fabric. Perfect for a girl’s room! Spotted on Daily Dream Design.

These colorful wooden knobs Chocolate Creative can be used as hardware for a dresser or nightstand and I think they are just perfect for a nursery or toddler room!

This super amazing DIY tutorial for stacked frames from Positively Splendid cannot be missed! I need to make one right now — seriously. Don’t you feel compelled to make one yourself too?

Here’s a fun pregnancy photo idea from Deana Johnson Photography! It’s so important to document those nine months of pregnancy — since they slip by so fast. This bubble-gum-popping pose is a must-try if you’re planning on taking a few shots to document your growing bump.

Just For Mommy: Jennifer Garner’s Maternity Fashion

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Isabella Oliver’s maternity line. The UK based clothing collection hugs your body in all the right places, it’s comfortable and tres chic! And you know who else thinks their clothes rock? Jennifer Garner. The pregnant celeb was spotted about town sporting the Isabella Oliver ruched cami ($49) in white and the denim skirt ($109) in indigo.

The Stork is Coming: 3 Cute Ways to Announce Your Pregnancy

Who knew that two little blue lines could make someone so happy? Finding out you’re pregnant is one of the most exciting moments of a pregnancy – along with hearing the heart beat and feeling that little baby kick for the first time. Here are some creative ideas on how to share “the big news” with your loved ones.

1. A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words: A photograph of a positive pregnancy test is a common way to announce a pregnancy. But isn’t a picture of a chalkboard due date pointing at your soon-to-be growing belly so much cuter?

2. Announce it With a T-Shirt: If you’re expecting a second child, have the soon-to-be big brother or sister announce the pregnancy with a t-shirt like this one. If this is your first, you can get a t-shirt or onesie for a niece or nephew that reads “I’m going to be a cousin” or one for a sibling that reads “I’m going to be an Aunt/Uncle.”

3. Napkin Notes: Spread the word by inviting unsuspecting family members to dinner and asking them to find their place at the table. Instead of names, write their new “titles” on a napkin.

Fall Fashion for the Chic & Cheap Mommy

Many women feel that they loose their fashion sense after they become mothers. Myself included — jeans and flip flops are my signature look.

We spend so much time looking up the latest trends for our kids that we feel completely clueless when it comes to picking out an outfit for ourselves.

That’s where Heather, from Multiply Delicious, comes in!

Heather isn’t a fashion blogger. She’s a mommy of twins that LOVES to cook and has an incredible eye for fashion and all things pretty.

Evey month she posts a fashion board just like this one to give us (ok, me!) some clue as to what’s trendy and what we should be wearing/buying so that we (ok, I) don’t look like there are no mirrors in the house.

Visit Multiply Delicious to see where you can get these stylish goodies!
