Displaying kids’ artwork, a DIY nursery table lamp and a dollhouse-turned-awesome-changing-table!

Displaying and organizing kids’ artwork isn’t an easy task. After all, everything your little one creates deserves to be displayed with pride! We love this clothespin art display idea since it makes it super easy for mom to swap out older projects for new ones.

Sometimes, a fresh coat of paint is all you need! This new mama scored an animal-themed lamp on clearance and quickly transformed it into a unique accent for her nursery with a shiny new coat of white paint. It’s a great way to save a pretty penny.

This retro boy’s nursery—featured on Modern Kiddo—has one piece in particular that really caught our eye. It’s the one-of-a-kind changing table made by the ingenious new parents from an old dollhouse! “We extended the balcony to make it long enough for a changing table, took the shag carpet out, painted, scraped wallpaper off, added wood, and added a mirror” so that their little one could make faces at himself. Brilliant!

I may not be the best cook, but I spend many hours a week in the kitchen preparing meals for my little one. And since I spend so much time there, I feel it’s important that the space is pleasant, functional and pretty. If a kitchen remodel is in your future, check out for some inspiring ideas. Here’s one in particular I’m archiving for a future project. It uses glass plates as an alternative to the traditional tile backsplash. It’s sleek and easy to clean — and look how well it goes with the glass mosaic tile!

One of our favorite summer finds! We’re head-over-heels for the Juno totes by Deux Lux ($84-$99). They’re reversible—with eight color combinations to choose from—so basically they’re like two bags in one. Take the black/teal combo pictured above. You can spend all day running errands with the teal tote and then just flip it inside out to turn it into a black tote for your evening plans.
