Hoot Design Co. is my new favorite company. Based in Columbia, Missouri and run by Kristen, a former art director, this company was born out of Kristen’s desire to gift her future nephew something unique that would represent all the people in his life that were anticipating his arrival.

My sister is expecting her first child… and a few days ago I found out she’s having a boy! This design board was inspired by my sister’s home: minimalist, bright and modern. The goal: Implement the expectant parents’ tastes into a baby friendly space.

These expectant parents wanted to create a classic nursery with a little bit of a coastal feel for their baby girl Wynn. In order to achieve their goal, they broke away from the traditional pink nursery and succeeded in designing a room where both parents and baby can relax.
