Amelia’s mom, Nicki of Vitalic Photo, was inspired by little girl’s love of cookies and milk to put together this adorable pink and gray “Cookies and Milk” themed party.  Mom designed the invitations and solicited the help of Jesi Haack Design to create the dessert table backdrop —  using a ruffled shower curtain from Urban Outfitters, which was embellished with stuffed heart pillows — for the sweet birthday theme. Read More...

Featured Party: Fairy Ballerina Birthday

When you have a girly girl on your hands, odds are that a princess or ballerina-themed party is in your future. That was the case for this mama of a fairy-loving ballerina who was celebrating her fourth birthday. From unique party decor to oh-so-cute dessert table goodies, this girly fairy ballerina birthday party has us swooning — and we’re sure you’ll be pretty impressed too.

Every detail was planned to perfection, starting with this adorable fairy party invitation. The design is elegant and playful — and the birthday girl is too cute for words. We love that big smile!

Lots of flower arrangements and wooden frames painted in a range of pastels — pink, blue, yellow and green — served as decor for this soft and feminine bash.

A dessert table was set up and served as the focal point of the party — and it was filled with lots of sweet goodies for this fairy ballerina and all of her guests to enjoy. Of course, all the goodies coordinated with the color scheme of the party.

Pink glazed donuts, cake pops and cookies were just a few of the “fairy sweets” on display at the dessert table.

As well as pink lemonade, served in the cutest cups we’ve ever seen! And we’re big fans of striped paper straws.

This party comes courtesy of The House of Smiths. Be sure to visit their blog for more party details and vendor information.

Pan Am Themed Birthday Party

Confession time! I’m completely hooked on the new ABC show Pan Am, following the lives of the flight crew as they jet around the world during the early 1960s. You know, before people started flying in their pajamas.

Have you seen it yet? It’s awesome.
But you’re not here for TV reviews. Moving on…

Check out this “Come Fly Away” Pan Am-themed birthday party featured on HWTM Blog and dare to dream big for your kiddo’s next birthday party! It’s filled with lots of fun party planning ideas.

The dessert table was packed with push pops, candies, and Oreo pops  — but our favorite were definitely the cupcakes. Check out these little Pan Am bag fondant cupcake toppers. Now that’s art!

Although we do have to admit that the Oreo pops are pretty darn cute as well. Gotta love how the ribbon tied to the pop stick looks like a stewardess’ scarf.

Travel documents, aviator shades and in-flight meals were provided for all the passengers guests.

Even the birthday invitations were custom made to look like boarding passes for a Pan Am flight.

We tip our hats to the talented party planner, Lynlee’s Petite Cakes.
