What Does The Fox Say?

We’ve all been hit hard by the YouTube sensation “What Does The Fox Say?” But kids in particular seem to be huge fans of the catchy tune. So when when I stumbled across a children’s book based on the viral video during a recent trip to Toys R Us, I knew I was way overdue for a fox-inspired finds post.

Design Advice for Decorating a Shared Kids Rooms

One of the toughest rooms to design is a shared room. You want it to be attractive, but it still needs to store all your little ones bits and pieces! The rooms end up being a bit of a mish-mash as each child brings in pieces from their existing room.

As I prepare to design a room for my boys to share (and I’ll share with you some of my thoughts on the design over the coming months), I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite shared kids’ spaces I’ve found.

Designed by Kelle Howard-Dean of Habitat and Beyond Kids, this small nursery is only 9 ft. x 9.5 ft — but Kelle did a fantastic job of making the room feel a lot bigger than it really is. Read More...

The Look for Less: A Playful and Neutral Nursery

Earlier today we showcased a twin boy nursery, with a bit of a safari theme, featuring a few splurge items. And because I just can’t help myself — and I know how much you all love a bargain! — I put together a nursery design board to give you some ideas on how to get the look for less.

I included some items from the original room design, like the pouf and bookcase, because I felt that they really were quality finds. I opted for an espresso crib vs the two-tone crib to save $100 — and saved big, while still adding custom art into the design, with some personalized prints from Etsy. Read More...

Playful Safari Twin Nursery (Featured Baby Room)

This week’s featured baby room is a bright twin boys’ nursery. It’s playful yet sophisticated — and it’s got a bit of a safari theme going on.

This jaw-dropping nursery is uncluttered and playful. It looks like it was designed by a pro! And you could say that it was because new mom of twins Ali, of Charles and Ali, isn’t exactly a “new” mom. These twin boys are baby #4 and #5 for Ali so she knows a thing or two about putting a nursery together. More nursery details and images after the jump!
