A fairy wand diy, custom state pillows and a no-sew canvas bin tutorial!

If you have a fairy princess like I do, then you might be considering a princess-themed party for an upcoming birthday celebration. Fairy wands make the perfect party favors — and Jenny of Jack + Hunt has an easy and fun tutorial for an afternoon of wand making on Hello Bee.

Show your home state some love! A few months back, we shared with you a free state map download for you nursery gallery wall — and today we bring you another fab state find. Available through AlwaysFits.com, these custom state pillows ($60) are a soft and unique accessory for the baby room (or any room in your home).

Amy of Positively Splendid is one thrifty mama — and she’s a pro at making storage bins from diaper boxes. A while back, she shared a canvas bin diy (which required a bit of sewing) and just recently she shared a no-sew version. You’ve got to check it out!

A Back-to-School Interview idea and download, a first day of school picture idea, a “how-to” for creating back-to-school looks for your tot, pencil push up pops and a Back-to-School party!

Our friends at Petite Lemon are “all about making memories and starting new traditions” and this is the perfect time of year to create both — so they’ve created this adorable Back to School Interview!

We’re crushing on this adorable First and Last Day of School Photo Idea from The Haps! They grow up so fast…

Shopping for back to school clothes can add up to quite a tab — but fashion consultant Reachel of Cardigan Empire makes putting together outfits for school look easy! She created twelve looks with only 13 items of clothing — that’s two weeks’ worth of outfits!

Bakerella whipped you these delicious Pencil Push Up Pops for her nieces who headed back to school recently. Don’t they make you want to head back to school? And check out more push up pop ideas in the new book Push-up Pops from Courtney Dial of Pizzazzerie.

Neon curtain rods, a unique kid artwork showcase and a simple closet organizing tip!

These neon curtain rods from Byron & Bryon instantly add interest and an unexpected pop of color to any room. They’re only sold to interior design professionals but you can create a similar look with an old or inexpensive curtain rod and some paint!

If you’re looking for a creative idea for showcasing your kiddo’s artwork then look no further! This photo book layout from Shutterfly — designed by Paislee Press — is a fun and space-saving idea for keeping all of those lovely masterpieces organized into one beautiful book.

This is one of my favorite organizing tips (via BHG.com)! Install an inexpensive hook behind your closet doors and instantly you’ll have a place to keep your belts in plain view, untangled and ready to wear.

Cardboard gallery art frames, a leather bound book dock for your iPhone and baby shower guest book idea.

These cardboard gallery art frames from Say Yes to Hoboken are a fun photo project anyone can try at home. Best of all, there’s simply no way to go wrong with this DIY project. You can create any shape or any size frame you like!

Electronics can be an eyesore in any home — that’s why we’re totally crushing on this Peter Pan Leather Book Dock for iPhone and iPad ($52) we spotted on Etsy. The book dock is leather bound and sprinkled in pixie dust. Just take my money and send me one!

This idea is from Martha Stewart Weddings but we think it would work just as well for a baby shower! It’s a guest book DIY idea using a standard album and a few small envelopes and cards. Each guest could write a message for the expectant mama and these could all be part of the baby book later on.

Displaying kids’ artwork, a DIY nursery table lamp and a dollhouse-turned-awesome-changing-table!

Displaying and organizing kids’ artwork isn’t an easy task. After all, everything your little one creates deserves to be displayed with pride! We love this clothespin art display idea since it makes it super easy for mom to swap out older projects for new ones.

Sometimes, a fresh coat of paint is all you need! This new mama scored an animal-themed lamp on clearance and quickly transformed it into a unique accent for her nursery with a shiny new coat of white paint. It’s a great way to save a pretty penny.

This retro boy’s nursery—featured on Modern Kiddo—has one piece in particular that really caught our eye. It’s the one-of-a-kind changing table made by the ingenious new parents from an old dollhouse! “We extended the balcony to make it long enough for a changing table, took the shag carpet out, painted, scraped wallpaper off, added wood, and added a mirror” so that their little one could make faces at himself. Brilliant!

A mustache find for baby, stylish kitchen inspiration and mama’s new must-have tote!

Mustaches continue to trend when it comes to all things baby and kid related—mustache bibs, mustache parties, you name it! We know, we know — they’re irresistible. If you want to add a little mustache lovin’ to your kiddos’ decor, check out these handmade mustache blankets we found on Etsy by Little Hip Squeaks.

I may not be the best cook, but I spend many hours a week in the kitchen preparing meals for my little one. And since I spend so much time there, I feel it’s important that the space is pleasant, functional and pretty. If a kitchen remodel is in your future, check out BHG.com for some inspiring ideas. Here’s one in particular I’m archiving for a future project. It uses glass plates as an alternative to the traditional tile backsplash. It’s sleek and easy to clean — and look how well it goes with the glass mosaic tile!

One of our favorite summer finds! We’re head-over-heels for the Juno totes by Deux Lux ($84-$99). They’re reversible—with eight color combinations to choose from—so basically they’re like two bags in one. Take the black/teal combo pictured above. You can spend all day running errands with the teal tote and then just flip it inside out to turn it into a black tote for your evening plans.
