Moroccan inspired patterns and colors have become increasingly popular over the past several months. Vibrant colors and intricate, yet sophisticated, patterns are the cornerstone of Moroccan interior design.
Today’s design advice is a Moroccan nursery inspiration board influenced by geometrical patterns and rustic textures.
1. Bedding: This was the starting point for the design of this nursery. I love the Serena & Lily Nursery Basics crib sheets! Depending on the sex of your baby or your personal preference, you could use one or all of these sheets. From top to bottom: Spring Green Florentine, Aqua/Melon Mosaic, and Grass Trellis; $36.
2. Paint: Ultra Premium Voyage 4006-1B from Valspar.
3. Crib: Ray Crib without panel by Muu; $795. I splurged on the crib. I just couldn’t help myself.
4. Curtains: Linen Sheer White Curtain Panel from Crate & Barrel; $24.95-$49.95.
5. Hamper: Rattan Elephant Hamper in brown; $99.
6. Rug: Wool Rug Spectrum Pewter from Company C; starting at $146.
7. Wall decals: Moroccan Bubble Decals from Etsy seller ByrdieGraphics; $52.
8. Arm chair: angelo:HOME Harlow Arm Chair Yellow and White Floral, $309.
You might be wondering why I didn’t include a changing table or dresser in this mood board. The truth is that I didn’t find one to my liking for this particular room. I would suggest incorporating a dresser that meets your needs and painting it a vibrant green, blue or melon.

Love the Company C spectrum rug! Have you heard about or felt the quality? I would love to order it but haven’t found any reviews!
I actually got to see and feel this rug in a showroom recently and I love it! It’s soft without being too fluffy because it’s made from short wool fibers. It was also featured in House Beautiful’s December/January issue as one of their picks for 3-dimensional rugs that make you want to “kick off your shoes and go barefoot.”
I went to go check out the rug and it is great! I bought one for my nursery AND one for my living room! FYI… There is a 60%. off sale on 8 or so of the colors from the spectrum line! They are discontinued and I thought your readers would like to take advantage of the sale! I know I did!!
