I’m in love.
Yes, I’m in love with this playroom. Can you blame me?
This lovely room was featured in Lonny Mag’s Spring 2011 issue as part of a spread done on a beautiful family home designed by interior designer Jeff Andrews. “As a family home, every room had to be good for the kids,” says Andrews. “They play everywhere, with no restrictions.”
The entire home was designed with the children in mind. When choosing items for the home, Andrews says that his criteria was that it not only had to be beautiful, it also had to be fun and interesting.
I highly recommend you check out the rest of the home on LonnyMag. But be warned, it is FABULOUS!
I think this traditional yet relaxed style works well for both parents and children to enjoy a little down time together.
What do you think?
About Nicole Abbott-Peretz
OH.EM.GEEEE!! I haven’t had time to check out the latest Lonny yet but I love everything about this room. I’m trying to turn our existing formal living room (which we never use) into a playroom and this might just be the way I do it. Thank you so much for posting!
@Dina @ Honey + Fitz, oh my! sounds like a fun project. Let me know if you want to share the finished product here. I’m sure it will look fab! You have great taste =)
I really love the cool greens in this room Super cute. Perfect for adults and kids.
@Sarah Hettervik, I’m terrified of green paint but this is THE perfect shade! Love it too.
LOVE THIS! What a great idea! And Lonny – that that mag too! The new online shelter mags are fantastic in my book!
@Thea, Agreed. Online shelter mags are rockin’.
Great play room. I love the oversized, comfy looking sofa. Probably a great place to curl up for story time.
@shelia, I need a sofa EXACTLY like this. Seriously. I’d never sleep in my own bed again =)
So cute!! Wish I had some extra space in my house for a room like that! :)
@Alicia, I know! We are urbanites and there is no extra anything here. Would love a family/play room in our house too.
Any idea where to get those great lanterns?
@elizabeth, Looks like those are from Design Within Reach but they are no longer selling them. Nor does it look like they are selling anything similar. Sorry :(
Where could I find that AMAZING couch???
@Sarah, The sectional couch is from http://www.arudin.com/category.html?id=0 . A bit pricey =)
Ok so i am a bit behind but in love with the lonnymag playroom nonetheless!!! where would you recommend finding similar pieces to createcthis look (sofa, pendants, rug, etc)? We are refinishing our basement and thus look is a must!!!:)
